Bed / Breakfast and Self Catering Accommodation
We are the ideal place to stay when visiting the Spurn Peninsula, either for bird watching, walking, sightseeing, or working in the area.
Westmere Farm is a comfortable Victorian Farmhouse, which we have extended to incorporate our Bed and Breakfast accommodation. We have also rebuilt the Dairy and Milking Parlour and added two cabins to make five self catering units, each of which will accommodate two people.
Until 2008 we were a working Dairy Farm, from then until Spring 2016 we kept beef cattle. We now no longer farm, and just run the Bed and Breakfast and Self Catering business in a sort of theoretical semi retirement!
We are found in the small village of Kilnsea at the head of the Spurn Peninsula. Our position on a slight rise gives us stunning views over the Humber Estuary and Spurn Point. The Peninsula has an unconventional beauty, which draws people back time and again.
There are many walks in the area, with the coast and river banks both easily accessible. Even at busy times of the year, it is easy to find plenty of places to relax and unwind. We serve a real farmhouse breakfast till 9.30 each morning.
The village pub, the Crown and Anchor, is a pleasant stroll away
and serves lunches and evening meals. Further down the peninsula
is the Spurn Discovery Centre which is open from 10 each morning
for food and information. Two miles to the north is the village
of Easington which has a regular bus service to Hull via
Withernsea..
Our aim is to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
